They were first advocated prior to 1900, but only over the past few years have they received much attention.  A growing number of people are now singing the praises of raw food, touting a variety of benefits.<span id="more-120"></span></p>
<p>Proponents of the raw food diet claim that it is the most sensible diet for humans.  They believe that raw food contains enzymes and microorganisms that are not found in cooked foods, and that these things are highly beneficial to us.  They also cite the higher nutrient content present in many raw foods.</p>
<p>There are several different types of raw food diets.  Raw foodism refers to a diet in which no foods are off limits.  Raw vegans eat only fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts and legumes.  Those on a primal diet, on the other hand, consume only fatty meats, dairy and vegetable juice.  All of these diets have one thing in common, however.  They require that at least 75 percent of foods in the diet are eaten raw, or are warmed to a temperature of no more than 105 degrees prior to eating.</p>
<p>Benefits of the Raw Food Diet</p>
<p>One of the least surprising effects of the raw food diet is weight loss.  As most raw food dieters eat only plant foods, fewer calories are usually consumed.  The diet is also usually low in fat, unless a large amount of seeds and nuts are eaten regularly.  Many raw foods also cause us to burn more energy when digesting them, allowing us to burn off the calories eaten more quickly.</p>
<p>Those on the raw food diet often report an increase in energy.  The exact reasons for this are not known, but it has been theorized that raw foods are more easily metabolized into energy than cooked foods.  Refined sugars are also absent from raw foods, so we do not experience short-lived sugar highs that leave our energy sapped in the end.</p>
<p>Better digestion is also reported by many of those on the raw food diet.  This is often attributed to the enzymes present in raw foods.  They are believed to aid in digestion and cause the stomach to produce less acid.  This reduces the ill effects that often go along with digestion.</p>
<p>Other reported benefits of the raw food diet include improved condition of the skin and reduced risk of many diseases, including heart disease.  These benefits are attributed to the low amount of harmful fats and the high nutrient content of the foods eaten.</p>
<p>The raw food diet sounds intimidating to some, but it is not as limiting as one might think.  Proponents believe that it has numerous benefits, many of which are backed up by scientific evidence.  And with its increasing popularity, eating raw is becoming accessible to anyone who cares to try it.</p>

This is true not just of weight loss goals but of every type of goal you might have. Be it a business or a family goal, you cannot achieve it unless you succeed in overpowering negativity. Once you set a goal, there will be obvious roadblocks on your way in the form of negative thoughts and feelings that will make you depressed and de-motivated. Your job is to weed out those negative thoughts from your mind and replace them with positive ones. I know that doing so is not so easy as it sounds, but then again, if you want to reach a destination very badly, it is not impossible either! In this article I will tell you how changing your mindset can help you lose weight fast.<span id="more-91"></span></p>
<p>When you launch your weight loss program your mind will become preoccupied with thoughts such as &#8216;I can never be slim&#8217;, &#8216;I am not meant to lose weight&#8217;, &#8216;I hate to do exercises&#8217;, etc. Instead of being cowed down by such thoughts, you need to fight them! If these negative throughs keep you from reaching your weight loss goal, you are not alone! Most people fail to lose weight because they start with a negative mindset; instead of thinking what will happen once they lose weight, they think about what MIGHT happen if they don&#8217;t! But then again, some of these people actually end up losing weight, when they decide to fight with these negative thoughts, when they realize that they deserve to lead a healthy life as much as others, when they realize that they can lose weight only by harboring positive thoughts in their mind. </p>
<p>In order to harbor positive thoughts in your mind, you need to think about the future: about the kind of life you will lead once you lose weight. For example, when you become slimmer, you will get rid of a host of diseases, appear sexier and achieve an increase in virility, or maybe that you will feel more comfortable with yourself, etc. Take a paper and pen and write down the reasons behind your desire to lose weight, and then stick it on the wall so that you can see it everyday! This way it will be easier for you to grab your negative thoughts by both hands and throw them out!</p>
<p>It is a fact that most of us know how to lose weight but very few of us actually make the necessary efforts to put that knowledge into action because we don&#8217;t have the mental strength needed to achieve our goals. Once we start making an effort towards the achievement of a goal, we tend to get overpowered by demons such as anger, sadness and depression. Once you get control of your life and weed out those negative thoughts, you will see that losing weight is much more easier than you think!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>When it comes to weight lifting exercises, everyone wants to do workouts to get huge biceps because they are the most impressive muscles when developed. To most people, having large biceps indicates strength. When someone is asking you to &#8220;flex your muscles,&#8221; they&#8217;re not asking you to flex your legs; they&#8217;re usually asking you to flex your biceps. Here in this article, I will give you 5 of my favorite bicep weight lifting exercises using dumbbells. If you buy your own dumbbells, you can even do these weight lifting exercises at home!<span id="more-102"></span></p>
<p>1. Dumbbell Concentration Curls – Sit on a flat surface (such as a bench) with your legs spread apart, while leaning forward a little bit. Get a dumbbell in one hand with your palm facing upward, and rest your elbow in on the inner part of your thigh. You can let your dumbbell hang. Curl the weight up while keeping your elbow in the same spot on the inner part of your thigh. When you are curling, twist your wrist towards the outside. Squeeze your muscle at the top of the movement for one count and then return it to the start position; then repeat the weight lifting exercises.</p>
<p>2. Two Arm Dumbbell Curls – One of the other weight lifting exercises is the old and popular dumbbell curl, which you can do while you&#8217;re either standing or sitting. Get a dumbbell in each hand and let your hands drop by your sides. Curl both dumbbells up and try to bring them up towards your shoulders. When you are bringing it up, turn (supinate) your palm outward. Slowly bring the dumbbells back to the starting position and repeat.</p>
<p>3. Hammer Dumbbell Curls – This is also one of the classic dumbbell weight lifting exercises; you can do this while either standing or sitting on a bench. This is very similar to a dumbbell bicep curl (in the previous exercise), except that you don&#8217;t twist your wrists throughout the movement with no supination. Basically you get a dumbbell in both hands, and let them hang by your sides. Curl both dumbbells at the same time and try to bring them up to your shoulders. When you are doing this, keep your wrists locked. Bring the dumbbells down slowly and repeat the weight lifting exercises.</p>
<p>4. Standing Zottman Dumbbell Curls – Stand up and keep your back straight. Get a dumbbell in both hands. Let your hands drop by your sides. As you begin to curl both dumbbells upward, rotate your hands into an underhanded grip position. When you are at the top of this movement, rotate your wrists so that your palms are now facing outward. Then you can continue the other half of this weight lifting exercise by bringing them down to the start position.</p>
<p>5. Incline Dumbbell Curls – For this weight lifting exercise, lie on an inclined bench and get a dumbbell in both hands. Let your hands drop down to both sides, with your palms facing inward (toward each other). Curl the dumbbell in one hand and bring it up to your shoulder. When you are curling it, supinate your wrist outward (your thumbs will be facing away from your body). Bring your arm back to the start position, and then repeat with your other arm.</p>
<p>These are the most common (and most popular) weight lifting exercises for working out your biceps; follow these weight lifting exercises and you&#8217;re on your way to building impressive biceps!</p>

All you need to do is set a weight loss goal and then take steps to achieve it. In this article I will tell you about my 6-step weight loss formula that can help you lose pounds pretty quickly!<span id="more-89"></span></p>
<p>1. Consult with your doctor before choosing a weight loss plan: Far too many people make the mistake of listening to dishonest marketers rather than to doctors or nutritionists. I would advise you to take your time and consult with a professional nutritionist to discuss what kind of a diet your body is comfortable with!</p>
<p>2. Combine different diet plans: In my research, I have found that almost all diet plans suffer from deficiencies of some kind or the other. Hence I find it better to combine the best concepts of three or four diet plans and then work on my own. If you have found three or four diet plans that seem to be suitable for your body, take the time to pick the best features of each and then combine them all into one!</p>
<p>3. Drink as much water as you can: Your doctor will perhaps recommend you to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. If you cannot drink that much water, drink at least four or five glasses. Once you start drinking water, you will feel much better and more energetic!</p>
<p>4. Don&#8217;t try to be rigid with yourself: No one said that you need to follow a weight loss plan to the letter. You are free to modify it as much as you want based on your body and its needs. Even if you follow a diet plan rigidly during the first phase, you should modify it considerably once you start understanding your body and its requirements!</p>
<p>5. Don&#8217;t set unrealistic goals: Do you know why people fail to lose weight? It is because they set totally unrealistic goals for themselves. Having a goal of fitting yourself into a bikini within a month is an unrealistic goal. Having a goal of losing 20 pounds in three months in a realistic goal. Unless you set realistic goals for yourself, you can never really succeed in losing any amount of weight. Setting unrealistic goals for yourself will only bring depression and disappointment for you!</p>
<p>6. Increase your daily activity level: Leave your couch and take a walk-that is the least you can do for your body. You should, as a matter of fact, increase your daily activity level in any way you can. Whether it is in the form of exercises, walking or sports, you should try to be as much active as possible.</p>
<p>Once you follow the six steps above, getting rid of the extra flab won&#8217;t seem very difficult!</p>

You therefore, as a rule, should avoid sugar and sugar-rich foods.</p>
<p>2.Stop eating processed foods. Not only some of them are high on calorie count, processed foods also contain a lot of natural and unnatural preservatives. While natural preservatives won&#8217;t harm your body much, unnatural preservatives can cause acidity, stomach disorder and loss of energy!</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">1. Fish and Shellfish – The thing that most people don&#8217;t eat enough of is seafood. You can eat a wide variety fish and shellfish due to their high amounts of protein AND valuable good fats.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Here is a small list of different fish you can eat: swordfish, tuna, salmon, haddock, mackerel, trout, flounder, sea bass, trout, orange roughy, perch, mahi mahi, sole, catfish, herring cod, and Halibut.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You should have your fished baked, grilled, or boiled. Be sure to avoid fatty and high calorie extras such as sauces and butter.</p>

There are some fish however, with high amounts of fat such as salmon, trout, herring, mackerel, and sardines.<span> </span>Although due to the fact that these fish are so high in Omega 3 fatty acids, these can and should be eaten liberally.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">2. Brown Rice – Brown rice is one of the main foods that bodybuilders often chow down. Brown rice is perfect all year round, as long as you watch your calorie intake. This means not eating fried rice or other rice dishes with lots of extra fat and calories. Eating steamed or boiled rice is the best way to go.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Of the different types of rice, slowly cooked brown rice and basmati rice are excellent choices. Instant rice is okay if you&#8217;re low on time, but instant rice is digested quickly and is processed similarly to a simple carbohydrate.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">4. Green fibrous vegetables – This could count as broccoli, green beans, lettuce, asparagus, etc. Fibrous carbs are your best bet to get fat burning carbohydrates. These green vegetables barely contain any calories! You can never have enough of these fibrous carbs… eat them liberally, and have them anytime of the day. Having a diet consist of green vegetables along with lean proteins is one of the best ways to burn fat as fast as possible.</p>
